The announcement tour covered Carrol, Henry, Whiteside, and Rock Island Counties. The people in Illinois deserve representation that they can count on to fight for what is right. Illiniois deserves leaders who will make the difficult choices. A choice is something the people in this area haven't had for far too long, something the people richly deserve.

The state of Illinois is broke, and broken. One party rule doesn't work. It is up to the citizens to demand more from Springfield. This one day was just the begining, and not itself a cause for celebration. Instead, I consider it a signal, that help is on the way. Together, we will turn my state's reputation from a punchline, to something more befitting to the land of Lincion. Hard work will Make Illinois Great Again.

A Humbling Expierience

This past weekend the Quad City Airport was the backdrop for two of the more emotional scenes I have ever witnessed. On both Friday and Saturday night members of the "Greatest Generation" received a heroes welcome from hundreds of well wishers, friends and family. These veterans who gave so much to the cause of freedom where able to fly to Washington DC and see memorials and swap stories that may have laid buried for decades. Honor Flight of the Quad Cities is the worthy organization which with the help of thousands makes flights like these possible. If anyone reading is interested in learning more about the program or donating, please visit the website www.honorflightqc.org. I can't imagine what the day is like in the nations capital. What I can speak to is how it felt to see these men and women come back home.

Hundreds of people met the planes including members of the Black Hawk College Republicans, were able to witness the homecoming. Everyone was able to shake hands and say thank you to the men and women who were active participants in keeping this country free. With the words, "ladies and gentleman I present the Greatest Generation" started a procession through a crowd which included VFW Members, flag barers, and those whose family members didn't live to have the honor. One vet was overheard saying that this restored his faith in the younger generation. Sir I must say that it is because of the sacrifices those like you made, that we are allowed to have faith in anything. God Bless all vets and active service members.

Health Care Tea Party

Hello everyone,

A short report from the front lines of the heath care debate. There was a small skirmish today outside of Phil Hare's Moline office. The event was sponsored by the Quad City College Republican Alliance. This is a group made up of members of the Augie, Scott, and Black Hawk College communities. Mother nature did not do us any favors today, but we still had a tremendous turnout considering the obsticles. The Passion against government intervention in our lives, even in the rain, is palpable.
Thanks again to everyone who braved the elements and came out today. There will be more battles to fight and we will win our share, but noticed was served this afternoon that the RICO GOP is alive.

Archie

Comments Welcome

Welcome

I just want to thank everyone for visiting the blog.
